Agenda for Tuesday's SLIPS meeting at Flapjaws

1. Student Activities Fair: you may remember, this is where student groups get together for new and returning students to check out. The fair will be Wednesday, September 5, from 4-6:30. I am told there’ll be a nacho-taco bar.

2. Discuss first event of the year: Illinois politics 101 and beer. For our first event, I propose that we do an informal discussion about how Illinois politics work at the state level. Given the craziness of the budget process this summer, it might make some sense to organize the talk around the budget and the state’s key political players and constituencies. I think it also makes sense to drink beer.

SLIPS Meeting: August 28th, Noon, at Flapjaws

SLIPS first meeting of the year will be held at Flapjaws this coming Tuesday at noon. The meeting will last about a half an hour. We'll discuss the upcoming semester, as well as the upcoming Student Activities Fair, which will be Wed. September 5, from 4-6:30.
